Theater and music
Off-Broadway. Off-center. Awfully entertaining.
The theater scene here is legendary. The city offers world-class Broadway
shows, intimate local theater and 3 Tony Award-winning theaters. Internationally-recognized
as a haven for theater-goers, Minneapolis boasts more theater seats
per capita than anywhere else but New York.
During the first half of August, the Minnesota Fringe Festival delights
theater lovers with hundreds of performances in dozens of venues. The
city also holds the Minneapolis Mosaic celebration during
the summer months. It's nearly 2 months of diverse art, dance, music and
more.
